Metro Is Making Special SmarTrip Cards for Trump’s Inauguration. Here Are Some Ideas

As it has for previous presidential inaugurations, Metro intends to issue commemorative SmarTrip fare cards to mark the swearing-in of Donald Trump next month. But unlike 2009 and 2013, when Metro riders clamored for passes with the smiling visage of Barack Obama, the transit agency must now produce cards featuring a president who is deeply unpopular in the region where its passengers live. So here are a few ideas if Metro’s SmarTrip designers need some inspiration:
