Mount Vernon celebrated George Washington’s 286th birthday with free cake, a citizenship ceremony, and a speech from the general himself. He welcomed 51 new U.S. citizens from 37 countries with a heartwarming service—and quite a lot of proud flag-waving from the candidates and their families.
