PHOTOS: Washingtonians Try to Beat the Heat

There’s no relief coming anytime soon. Tuesday’s heat index is expected to rise to 105 degrees, according to the Capital Weather Gang, and even the threat of thunderstorms Friday doesn’t promise much relief from the humidity that encases you like a cloak made of damp sponges. Washingtonian photographer Evy Mages visited the Wharf Monday evening, and saw how a few people were coping.
