Welcome to week two of the Great Doughnut Derby. As this updated bracket reveals, 2 Amys emerged victorious from Friday’s close competition—beating out Shilla to go on to round two.

This time, it’s mini doughnut versus mini doughnut as downtown fat-cat hub the Palm takes on sprawling Poste in Penn Quarter’s Hotel Monaco. The warm pastries on the dessert menu at the Palm are coated in cinnamon sugar and accompanied by chocolate and raspberry dipping sauce. At Poste, the fruit and chocolate are stuffed inside the round puffs; order up a basket, and you’ll likely fight with your tablemates over those pastries filled with velvety lemon curd. Those are very good. Whichever you choose, don’t forget to vote before 5 PM, when the poll closes.
