DC Metro Maps Through the Years

Metro’s been under fire this past year, but there was a time when locals celebrated Metro and its expansion. The Red Line sported Metro’s first five stations in 1976. Today, Metro boasts six lines, 91 stations, and the country’s second busiest transit system. Even if the only thing reliable about the train is its inconsistency, there’s no doubt that Metro has shaped the District into what we know it as now.
