Song Que (6769 Wilson Blvd., Falls Church; 703-536-7900). There’s many a banh mi shop in the Eden Center, but this one, operated by the family behind the popular Four Sisters restaurant, sets the standard. The Vietnamese-gone-Gallic subs—presented on airy baguettes and layered with grilled meats (we like the charred pork best), mint, cilantro, and jalapeño—are delicious, and a steal at $2.75 to $3.25 each.
Tropical-flavored bubble teas ($2.75 to $3.25) bobbing with tapioca pearls make cooling companions. Now that Four Sisters has moved to Merrifield, the cramped deli has spread its wings in the restaurant’s old, much bigger space a few doors away. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
