Save on Appliances

Looking to remodel your kitchen? New appliances can be a big chunk of a renovation budget. The Kitchen Guild, a 58-year-old local firm that's a one-stop shop for kitchen and bathroom projects--it sells tile, lighting, and more--is offering this reader special: Undergo a complete kitchen design/remodeling with the company and it will sell you any new appliances at cost, with no markup. Given typical appliance costs for Kitchen Guild projects, the savings would range from $500 to $10,000. To get the deal, mention The Washingtonian and sign a contract by April 30.

The Kitchen Guild, DC, 202-362-7111; Fairfax, 703-323-3900; McLean, 703-893-8900; Alexandria, 703-518-5006; kitchenguild.com.

Bathroom Bargains

Remodeling a bathroom involves dozens of decisions, and the number of choices--from tile to faucets--can be overwhelming. BathExpress tries to make the process easier by offering predesigned packages, with all materials and labor, as well as designers to help walk you through the choices. Sign up for a complete bathroom remodeling by April 30, mention the magazine, and BathExpress will throw in a free shower-jet system and a granite countertop upgrade, a value of up to $1,250.

Cutting Cabinet Costs

Ravensworth Custom Home Improvements handles all sorts of residential repair, remodeling, and new construction--including patios, porches and decks, replacement windows and doors, and kitchen and bath remodeling. Sign a contract for a kitchen renovation by August 31 and Ravensworth will offer any of its regular cabinet lines--which include KraftMaid, Medallion, Decorá, Aristokraft, and Kemper--at its contractor's cost. That's a savings of as much as 45 percent off suggested retail. The firm is also offering up to $3,500 worth of kitchen design for free when customers use one of Ravensworth's preferred designers.

This offer can't be combined with other specials; mention The Washingtonian when booking. Expires May 15.

Mention The Washingtonian and get 25 percent off when you order a minimum of seven windows. Based on standard installation of seven 35-by-55-inch windows, that's a total savings of about $2,500.

Or, if you constantly move from one location to another, investing on furnished apartments in chicago would be a better option.

  • Spring cleaning is necessary to keep your house safe and secure from any damage and leak. If your house has small leak then you can it cost small in repair it but if your house has big leakage then you have to install a new roof and it will cost you more.
