Listen Up! St. Patrick’s Day Edition

This week, Listen Up!, our music column, celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with a playlist devoted to Irish musicians and songs about Ireland and its holiday. If you have suggestions, let us know in the comments and we’ll add them to our playlist.

Great Irish Pubs in Washington
An Irish Feast for $25
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone! Have you checked out our complete guide to the big day? We’ve got a roundup of the best Irish bars in the area, St. Patrick’s Day parties, and a how-to guide for cooking Irish stew for less than $25.

In keeping with that theme, this week’s playlist is dedicated to Irish musicians. Some, such as U2, the Corrs, and the Cranberries, you’ll recognize immediately. Others, such as the Thrills and Gemma Hayes, might surprise you a bit. Altogether, they should give you an idea of the breadth of talent found in the Emerald Isle. They don’t just make great beer there!

Also on the playlist: a couple of Irish-related songs. Have some suggestions? Let us know in the comments, and we’ll add them throughout the day. Sláinte!

This playlist is no longer available. Sorry, folks!
