Happy hour with a Peeps show, plus a free dance performance By Laura McKenzie
Comments () | Published April 18, 2011

DRINKS: Head to a happy hour sponsored by the Washington Post at Whitlow's on Wilson to celebrate the opening of the bar's rooftop deck. Specials include $1 Coronitas and $3 Double Wides—the deck's signature drink is a blend of Miller Lite and orange juice—and discounts on pulled-pork sandwiches and wings. As a bonus, the finalists from the Peeps Show V competition will be on display.

JAZZ: Celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Bohemian Caverns Jazz Orchestra. There'll be music from 8 to 11 and a full menu at this recently renovated historic spot. Tickets are $15 at the door.

DANCE: Karen Reedy Dance is an Alexandria-based contemporary company that specializes in site-specific works and incorporating other artists into the pieces. See the group at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage to night at 6. Free.
