Summer Restaurant Week 2011 Dates Announced: August 15 to 21

The dates for the semi-annual restaurant-special bonanza have been announced. Start dialing for reservations!

Twice a year, the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington organizes Restaurant Week, when hundreds of places offer three-course, set-price menus. This year, lunch is $20.11 and dinner is $35.11. There's a strategy to choosing where to eat: Reserve your seats wisely and you could be eating like a king for a fraction of the normal price. Choose poorly and you could get a seat at a restaurant that phones it in both in the back and front of the house. If you need some help, we have critic Todd Kliman's recommendations from the winter 2011 and summer 2010 Restaurant Weeks—after the jump.
