We want you to tell us how your Restaurant Week is going.

It’s the first day of DC’s summer Restaurant Week (see our menu guide here), when lots of the city’s eateries have special three-course lunch ($20.09) and/or dinner ($35.09) menus—a chance to try some of the best restaurants in town for a fraction of the price. Some places allow diners to choose from their regular menu, while others offer a paltry list of choices with the only attractive dishes bearing a surcharge.

Our food and wine editor, Todd Kliman, gave you his picks for Restaurant Week, and now we want you to weigh in on your experiences. Where did you score a great deal, and where did you feel ripped off? Which restaurants were generous with portions and menu offerings, and which ones skimped? Did your meal feel relaxed or rushed? Every morning, we’ll ask you to tweet @bestbitesblog with your reports from the day before (use the hashtag #DCRW). If you’re not on Twitter, feel free to leave your thoughts in our comments below.

emilyromans: Is it possible that I"m still full from last night's dinner at Il Mulino? Try the tilapia folks, you'll thank me later.

tutakalaka: Lunch at PS7 good, but service not great. Sarah's Salad, Short Ribs & Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar a steal at $20.09 ($34 regularly).

ranagan: Oyamel's seared scallops with pepita sauce ... So effing amazing.

BeccaClaraLove: Dinner at PS7's tonight. Let's hope it's better than DC Coast, which was not as amazing as expected. Yeah, I said that.

tutakalaka: Had #DCRW lunch at PS7; short ribs are greatn peanutbutter choco bar beats red velvet and blueberry betty for dessert

ImMissNTexas: I am full as a tick thanks to @RosaMexicano! The Pescado Tikin-Xic was perfection.

LPags03: Ugh - hate being rushed. 3 courses in under an hour at hook. Food just okay.

kerikaeindc: Lychee and gazpacho drink at #TenPenh: Delicious palate-cleanser (if you like V8 like I do....).

ShanonDMurray: Dinner @ Potenza. Had Polpettine d'Agnello then Cod al Forno & Chocolate-Hazelnut Semi Freddo for dessert. Dessert was the star.

FrenchTwistDC: @CarpeDC Yes, @ristorantetosca did not disappoint. Had veal ravioli (amazing), lamb chops (so good) & panna cota (delicious).

jarsenault: Hit PS7's for #DCRW. Mussels & stuffed pork loin both excellent, beef tenderloin tasty but oversauced, choc-pb bar delightful

RRosser2: still full from @willowva dins last pm! bbq chick flatbrd/mussels, scallops w ravioli. did the wine pairing and the gruner was great!

August 26 Restaurant Week updates:

ldshap00: @bestbitesblog #DCRW Columbia Firehouse RW lunch yesterday. Food was good but terrible timing & plates were coming out on top of each other.

Lauraroose: Thumbs up for large group dinner at McCormick & Schmicks. Great selection: ribeye, lobster, salmon, crab etc and pleasant service

ShanonDMurray: Recommend lunch at Chef Geoff's. Restaurant Wk applies to entire menu. Had the Fattoush Salad, Seared Tuna & Mocha cheesecake. Yum!

FrenchTwistDC: Dinner at Art & Soul for #DCRW: gazpacho with avocado cream, crispy trout, peach pecan crumble with a sweet bourbon peach tea please! Miam!

FrenchTwistDC: Change of plans.... Having the arugula salad with blackberry dressing and the pork chop instead. Yummy. #DCRW #Art&Soul

ElyssaK: Trout at Art and Soul was excellent. I like how they just kind of layer all the pieces of the dish on top of each other. Different.

ShelbyLove2009: Acadiana was delicious! I dont think i ever need to eat again!

SeanQuixote: Enjoying delightful surf n' turf and knocking back a few glasses of tempranillo @ Hook in Georgetown for Restaurant Week.

cgouskos: Great meal at The Palm. Best part was the three cheese potato, the filet, and the crab cakes

August 25 Restaurant week updates:

anneblair: fabulous lunch at acadiana - trio of deviled eggs and bread pudding were great! entire menu for entrees.

bethshanna: Poste during #DCRW? Kinda pointless. Also oddly quiet. And underwhelming. Which in no way tempers my excitement for RASIKA tomorrow.

LPags03: art & soul - food good, service slow. let's see how 701 and hook fare...

lilel: Lunch at Vidalia was good. Dessert was best part. Other courses they were trying too hard
