Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Every morning, we’ll let you know where the area’s food trucks are rolling.

Hey, readers. Looks like we've got a string of thunderstorm-filled days ahead. But according to Weather.com, the rain isn't coming until 4 PM today, which means dry skies for lunchtime. The biggest clusters of trucks are in Metro Center and L'Enfant. All locations and a map after the jump.

Chinatown area, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2's first stop at Fourth and G sts., NW; second stop at Georgetown Law at E St. and New Jersey Ave., NW), Pi Truck DC (475 H St., NW for the Chinatown Coffee happy hour at 6:30), and two Sâuçá trucks (Archives Metro at Seventh St. and Indiana Ave., NW; and Gallery Place).

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find Rolling Ficelle, a Sâuçá truck, Sol Mexican Grill, and Eat Wonky.

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW),
where you'll find DC Slices, Feelin Crabby, and a Red Hook Lobster truck. Pedro and Vinny's is nearby at 15th and K streets, Northwest.

L'Enfant (around Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW),
where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 3's fourth stop at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel), DC Empanadas, El Floridano, Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., Yellow Vendor, and Pi Truck DC. Curbside Cupcakes is nearby (Pinky 2's third stop at FEMA/Department of Education at Sixth and C sts., SW; Pinky 3's second stop at Federal Center at Third and D sts., SW). Austin Grill Truck is at 395 E Street, Southwest.

Metro Center (around 12th and G sts., NW), where you'll find Sabor'a Street, Tasty Kabob, a Sâuçá truck, Mini Sol from Sol Mexican Grill.

Navy Yard (around Fourth and M sts., SE), where you'll find Cap Mac, Eat Stix, and Carnivore BBQ (at the Metro).

Northern Virginia, where you'll find Bada Bing (Ballston), Capital Empanadas (1730 N. Lynn St., Rosslyn), Choupi Crepes (Rosslyn), District Taco (Crystal City), Maple Ave. Xpress (George Mason University behind Thompson Hall), Pleasant Pops (Ballston farmers market from 3 to 7), and Top Dog Truck (Boone Blvd., Tysons).

State Department/West End area, where you'll find Merlindia from Fojol Bros. (at 20th St. and Virginia Ave., NW) and PORC (21st and M sts., NW).

Union Station/Capitol Hill, where you'll find a Red Hook Lobster truck (First and D sts., SE) and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 3's first stop at Union Station).
