Let's Check Out Those New Dishes at Bar Pilar, Shall We? (Pictures)

The recently enlarged 14th Street hotspot boasts bigger dishes and a new dining room in which to eat them.

If you haven't had the opportunity to pop over to Pilar and check out the upstairs addition--not to mention the new menu of big plates that dwarf those tasty snacks downstairs--that's okay. You're pretty busy.

Longtime fans of chef Justin Bittner's cooking, however, will want to pay the newly enlarged eatery a visit. A sunny second-level dining room, lined with a row of repurposed farm doors and decorated with custom art, is the spot to sample new dishes like Catalan-style snails, a riff on veal saltimbocca with Serrano ham, and roasted pheasant with wild rice.
