One More Week Without Minibar

Sandy strikes again: The reopening of José Andrés’s molecular wonderland won't happen until November 7.

Young & Hungry got the scoop Thursday that José Andrés’s Minibar—now at 855 E Street, Northwest—will delay its reopening, originally planned for November 2, until Wednesday, November 7.

“The citywide shutdowns due to Hurricane Sandy caused a minor delay in our final inspections and permits,” a rep for parent company Think Food Group confirmed to Best Bites Blog Thursday afternoon. “We are currently working with guests who had reservations for November 2, 3, and 6 and finding alternate dates to accommodate their availability.”

Minibar’s famed tasting menu, previously priced at $150 per person, now costs $225. Reservations can be made only via e-mail.
