BonChon and Boundary Stone proved fierce adversaries. But only one wing venue can rule the roost. By Jessica Voelker
Congratulations Boundary Stone. Score one for neighborhood pride.

Happy Friday, Wing Warriors. It's been quite a month, hasn't it? We started this out with 32 wings-taurants and began picking away at them, sending some very worthy spots into the boneyard along the way. In fact, we should recognize the supporters at places like the Black Squirrel, Fuel Pizza, the Source, and Duffy's Irish Pub. Though ultimately these spots didn't fly all the way to the championship, they put in a good fight thanks to their loyal followings.

BonChon fans showed up in droves, too. There was a point in the competition when it seemed inevitable that this Korean wing chain would rise to the top of the pecking order. But in the end, Bloomingdale rallied around its new neighborhood bar, where you can get hot and honey chicken wings, or a veggie version made with seitan. Yes, feathered friends, it's with great pleasure that we now declare Boundary Stone the Wing Wars champion! Thanks very much for playing, and check back in coming months for more such competitions. Speaking of which, here's a final poll to send you into April.

One last fix for the poll junkies, after the jump.

Who has the best wings in Washington? You decide—today. By Jessica Voelker
BonChon or Boundary Stone? The suspense is killing us.

Cue Boyz II Men's "End of the Road" wing warriors. This is it: the last face-off in this protracted conflict known as Wing Wars. Our March Madness-Style bracket is nearly complete.

Yesterday's bout between Fuel Pizza and Boundary Stone generated more votes than any previous competition. It was a fight to the finish, but ultimately it was neighborhood favorite Boundary Stone that waddled away with the prize.

So here we go. It's time for the championship game. Between now and midnight, it's up to you to declare whether BonChon or Boundary Stone has the very best wings in all of Washington. BonChon is know for crunchy, crispy-fried goodness, but the natural, free-range chickens used to make Boundary Stone's wings spent their worry-free youth wandering the barnyard, maybe jamming out in the occasional impromptu drum circle or reciting some stream-of-consciousness poetry.  We can hardly wait to find out who will fly away with it.

Before you reach for that celery stick, go ahead and choose the champion.

Fuel Pizza or Boundary Stone: Only one can fly the final four coop to compete in the championship.

Welcome back to Wing Wars, our March Madness-style competition in which local venues compete to see who has the best saucy, fried poultry pieces in all of Washington. It's an exciting day in the wing world, with just one more bout left before the championship game tomorrow.

Yesterday, we asked you whether the Ugly Mug or BonChon should waddle forward, and you were decisive--BonChon it is! The Korean chicken chain will compete for the title tomorrow, but the question is: Which spot will it go up against? Both of today's contenders have had a strong showing throughout the competition. Fuel Pizza has inspired superlatives in comment sections, and Boundary Stone regulars came out in droves to support their neighborhood watering hole. It's truly any wing's game, and only you can determine the pecking order. As always, the poll closes at midnight.

The early bird gets the vote. This way to the poll.

The Ugly Mug and BonChon battle it out for one of two coveted spots in the championship round.

Good morning Wing Warriors. We've been doing this March Madness-style bracket thing with chicken wings all month. Yesterday, Bloomingdale's own Boundary Stone landed the final spot in the final four. The three eateries still in the running alongside it are the Ugly Mug, BonChon, and Fuel Pizza.

So now, it's time to narrow things down to two final teams. First up: Capitol Hill kids love those saucy pieces at the Ugly Mug, but Korean chain BonChon has been a top performer throughout the competition, easily flying through the first three rounds. So who'll it be, wing warriors? You have until midnight to decide.

Flap over to the poll.

Two bars, one spot. Who will flap on to the final four?

Exciting times here on Wing Wars, our March Madness-style bracket in which we pit the city's best chicken wings up against one another to discover the best saucy poultry pieces in Washington.

The Ugly Mug and Fuel Pizza landed the first couple of round-three perches, and on Friday, BonChon beat out Duffy's Irish Pub for the third. That means there is just one place left in the final four. It could go to P Street watering hole Stoney's. Then again, it may belong to newish Bloomingdale destination Boundary Stone. The power is in your hands, voters.

After the jump, the poll.

BonChon or Duffy’s? Global chicken goodness goes up against the wings next door in today’s battle.

Welcome back to Wing Wars--like March Madness, only with chicken wings. We're working our way through the bracket, and two poultry places--the Ugly Mug and Fuel Pizza--have each landed a perch in the final four. That means just two spots remain. Today we see whether one of them will go to BonChon, the Korean chain that's world-renowned for its wing wizardry, or friendly neighborhood bar Duffy's, where everyone knows whether you like 'em hot, medium, or mild. Who will fly away with it? That's up to you, Wing Warriors. As always, the poll closes at midnight.

Adams Morgan loves Black Squirrel, but Fuel fans are bringing high-octane support to the downtown eatery.

Welcome back to Wing Wars, our March Madness-Style competition in which Washington's finest chicken-wing venues go beak to beak to determine the top saucy-snack spot in the city. Over the past few weeks, we've narrowed the list from 32 to eight. Make that seven, actually--in yesterday's bout, the first one for the elite eight, the Ugly Mug beat out the Source for a slot in the final four. Congratulations, Mug.

Today, the Black Squirrel goes up against Fuel Pizza. This is a big one, Wing Warriors. Adams Morgan imbibers flock to the Squirrel for its crispy-fried poultry pieces, but fans of downtown pit stop Fuel Pizza showed up in droves to vote in our first two rounds. And given yesterday's upset, we know well that at this point in the competition, it's anyone's game. The poll remains open until midnight, so have at it.

Put down that Wet-Nap and vote. This way to the poll.

It's time to determine the final four. Will it be the Source or the Ugly Mug?

Good day, Wing Warriors.Welcome back to March Madness, chicken-wing style. It's my distinct pleasure to announce to you the elite eight: the Source, the Ugly Mug, the Black Squirrel, Fuel Pizza, BonChon, Duffy's Irish Pub, Stoney's, and Boundary Stone. These eight purveyors of saucy chicken parts will now compete for a spot in the final four. We'll be running one bout a day from here on in.

First up, it's those General Tso's-style snacks at the lounge at the Source against the Buffalo-sauce-laden goodness at the Ugly Mug on Capitol Hill. Only one can waddle on into round four; it's up to you to decide who gets the honor.
