Here's a bit of news I somehow missed in time for yesterday's Hot Ticket blog post. Elvis Costello will be playing the 9:30 Club on May 18—and tickets are already on sale. But in some strange marketing twist, it seems that you can only currently buy them if you're the proud owner of a Visa credit card. Could this have anything to do with the fact that the show is sponsored by Visa? Surely not. Ugh. Well, regardless of how I feel about corporate sponsorship of shows that limits the tickets to a certain sector of the fan base, I figured some of you would want to know this information anyways. So if you're packing Visa, go forth and purchase—tickets are $75.
