Monday, July 30: The Screen on the Green outdoor film series continues on the Mall with the 1967 thriller Wait Until Dark. Starring Audrey Hepburn, the movie is about a blind woman whose apartment is broken into by thieves searching for a doll stuffed with heroin that they believe is hidden there. Tuesday, July 31: Café Saint-Ex (1847 14th St., NW) hosts a tasting of beers from the highly regarded Allagash brewery in Portland, Maine. Allagash owner Rob Tod will guide you through the tastings, with food accompaniments. The cost is $50; call 202-265-7839 to reserve a spot.

Wednesday, August 1: Outdoor movies are popping up all over the place this summer. Tonight in Bethesda, you can catch the Edward R. Murrow biopic Good Night, and Good Luck, directed by George Clooney, as part of the Bethesda Outdoor Movie Series. The location is the corner of Norfolk and Auburn avenues; the time, 9 PM. Free.
