Things to Do

Where & When Weekly: What To Do This Week

Monday, January 14: Last Days for Dremo’s
Start the countdown: You’ve only got a couple of weeks left to enjoy the bar magic that is Dr. Dremo’s. If you’ve never been to the bar, head out now—it’s a great, laidback neighborhood spot with an extensive beer list, friendly staff, plenty of cushy seating, outdoor patios, pool tables and lots more. Their weekday happy hour is a perfect time to check it out. From 5 PM until 7:30 PM, several pints are $3 or under, and pool is free. So get out there and see what you’ve been missing before it’s gone. 2001 Clarendon Blvd.

Tuesday, January 15: Folky Lady at Iota
Indie darling Mirah is well-loved for good reason—her lush, orchestral folk songs will enchant you. Lucky for you, she brings her lovely, intimate show to Iota in Arlington tonight. 2832 Wilson Blvd. $13, 8:30 PM.

Wednesday, January 16: Future of the Warehouse
If you’re a fan of local art, theater, and the musical community, you probably stopped at least once over at the Warehouse, a theater and gallery space in Chinatown that was recently forced to close its space. Lucky for us, the Warehouse has a contract on a new space up in Columbia Heights—but their impending move isn’t slowing anything down. Tonight they’re hosting ART: What’s Next?, an informal conversation about the future of the Warehouse Gallery and the local art scene in general. 7 PM. 1017 7th St., NW.

Thursday, January 17: Shop on U Street
It’s Third Thursday, and for those of you in the know, you know what that means: shopping deals and discounts and plenty of wine in the boutiques along U and 14th Streets, NW. From 5 until 8 PM, stores like Boundless Yoga, Simply Home, Junction and more will be offering up shopping deals.
