Things to Do

Where & When: This Week in Washington Nightlife

What to do every night of this week for fun.

Monday: Matisyahu at Sixth and I
Matisyahu, an orthodox Jew who combines traditional Jewish music with reggae and hip-hop, appears with his band tonight at the lovely Sixth and I Historic Synagogue. It'll be a unique show for sure, so make sure to check it out.

Tuesday: Election Night Parties
Presidential-election night in Washington is like prom for political nerds—it’ll be either everything you imagined or soul-crushingly disappointing. And either way, you’re likely to be drunk. We can’t help your candidate win, but we can help you with the drinking part. Check out our guide to election-night parties around town.

Wednesday: Sip a Fall Cocktail
Why not come down from the craziness of election night in DC by hitting up a swank bar for an elegant cocktail with some friends? We've been busy rounding up our favorite cocktails of the fall for you to try. Sample the Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice at EatBar, the hazelnut-and-apple-spice martini at FireFly, and lots more.

Thursday: Project Runway in DC
Well, kind of! Rami Kashou of "Project Runway" will be at the Phillips Collection this evening for a discussion about fashion and a happy hour. There's a cash bar, live music provided by Potomac Jazz Project, and lots of opportunities for mingling. $15; 5 PM.
