Monday: Santaland Diaries
Dave Sedaris’s 1992 piece about his experience working as an elf at a Macy’s department store has been adapted for the stage by City Artistic Partnerships with Joe Brack playing Sedaris. The play is at the Warehouse Theater. Tickets ($15) can be purchased here. 8 PM.
Tuesday: Robots and Vampires
Need a break from the holidays already? Check out the Washington Psychotronic Film Society’s screening of Robo Vampire, a 1988 B-film about zombie vampires, a robot cop, and ninjas. The screening, which is also at the Warehouse Theater, is free, but a $2 donation is suggested. 8 PM.
Wednesday: “Messiah” Sing-along
The Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra and a 200-voice choir perform Handel’s “Messiah” with plenty of help from the audience. The event is free, but tickets, which will be distributed in front of the Kennedy Center's Concert Hall at 6, are required.
