Look Out! Where to Find Snowball Fights This Weekend

Get out your snowsuits—Washington’s about to get dumped with mounds of the white stuff. We know we’re supposed to panic, but we can’t help feeling positively giddy. It’s the eternal fourth grader in us: Hot chocolate! Snowmen! Snowball fights!

Hey, we’re not the only ones. Lots of snow-loving Washingtonians are already in the spirit; a few massive snowball fights, including one with more than 1,500 pledged participants, have cropped up all over town.

Want to join the festivities? Here’s where the fun’s happening:

Snowball Invitational
Where: Logan Circle.
When: Friday, 9 PM.

Friendly Public DC Snowball Fight @ The Ellipse
Where: 15th and E streets, Northwest.
When: Saturday, noon to 3.

Snowpocalypse II: Snowball Fight and Snow Kickball
Where: Smithsonian Metro station at 12th Street and Independence Avenue, Southwest.
When: Saturday, 3 PM.
Participants will go to Hamilton’s Bar & Grill around 5:30 for beer; organizers have reserved 12 kegs.

The Official Dupont Circle Snowball Fight

Where: Dupont Circle.
When: Saturday, 2 PM.
An after-party is planned at One Lounge, where there’ll be spiked cider and Irish coffee.
