With spring just around the corner, we're gearing up for one of our favorite Washington traditions: the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Last night, we got in the spirit at the Pink Tie Party, an annual fundraiser, which featured cherry-blossom-inpsired dishes from nearly two dozen Washington restaurants.
Not everything we sampled was wow-worthy—the over-seasoned halibut doused with cherry sauce from Oceanaire? Skippable.—but there were some seriously delicious stand-outs.
Check out the slide show of our favorite cherry-themed bites. Warning: The following photos might make your stomach growl.
