Starting tonight and running through July 18, you can catch Flip Orley, a comic hypnotist, at DC Improv. Orley got into the entrancement business as a sixth-grader when he read the book How to Pick Up Girls Through Hypnotism, and years later he studied psychology in college. Orley swears he won’t embarrass his audiences—although he can’t help it if you fall over laughing. Tickets ($15) are available here. 8 PM.
Kick back and enjoy music at the Village at Shirlington Plaza for its Thursday-night jazz concerts. Tonight, you’ll hear the JazzKnights.
