Things to Do

Where & When: What to Do Tonight

A couple of concerts and a really chill DJ

Wale, the self-proclaimed “Ambassador of Rap for the Capitol” is performing at the 9:30 Club. He uses go-go and hip-hop as inspiration. Tickets ($35) are available here. 7 PM.

The Peace Ringers’ and Carol Ringers’ performance at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage is like your grade-school bell choir, only better. The two groups, who have also performed at the White House and the National Gallery, will be playing religious, folk, and holiday tunes on traditional hand bells. 6 PM; free.

The holidays are stressful, so take a deep breath and relax on the longest night of the year at Glide, U Street Music Hall’s New Age DJ night. Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats and blankets to enhance the calming effects. 9 PM; free. RSVP here.
