Everyone loves a good story, and there’s no better time to learn a little more about your loved ones. Speakeasy DC’s “My So-Called Jewish Life” is a presentation of stories from members of the Washington media about being Jewish—or just really wanting to be. At Sixth & I Historic Synagogue at 7:30. Indie pop-rockers Parlour Scouts, along with Fluorescent Sense and Drawbridges are playing at the Black Cat at 8:30. Buy tickets ($8) here.

The Last Waltz, a documentary that chronicles the final performance of the Band, an influential rock group—and includes footage of performances by Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, and more—screens at the Library of Congress at 7. The film was directed by the great Martin Scorsese.
