Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Masters of guitar and a grocery-store musical

Get a small taste of the musical hit STOMP at a free mini-performance at Georgetown’s Social Safeway at 6:30. You can also catch the troupe at Union Station (8:30 AM) or the Martin Luther King Jr., Memorial Library (12:30).

Hear the masters of the six strings at the Barns at Wolf Trap tonight. International Guitar Night features such acts as Clive Carroll, Alexandre Gismonti, Pino Forastiere, and Brian Gore. 8 PM; buy tickets ($25) at the Wolf Trap Web site.

It would be hard to find an event with more hipster cred than the latte-art contest at Baked & Wired’s Thursday Night Throwdown. The series of friendly showdowns aims to create community through coffee, baked goods, and competition. 8 PM; $5 at the door.
