DRINK: The consumer-rating Web site Yelp! is sponsoring Yelp Drinks Week at various local bars, including the Madhatter and Ris. Each participating bar will offer three drinks at 50 percent off today through Sunday, April 10. Our list of Washington’s 75 best bars can help you pick where to go.

MUSIC: Japanese Gypsy Rock is a musical melting pot of sounds from Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Eastern Europe. The band Kagero, one of the top performers of this style of music, is playing at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage. 6 PM; free.

Gobble Gobble, a  band that one critic described as “a mongrel of Xiu Xiu, Postal Service and a Nintendo-64-soundtrack,” is playing at the Red Palace at 8:30. Buy tickets ($8) at Ticket Alternative.
