Celebrating 30 Years of Democracy in Argentina

Ambassador Cecila Nahon welcomes guests to a celebration of the 30th anniversary of democracy in her country. It was held at the OAS.
OAS Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza with Ambassador Nilda Garre, Argentina’s permanent representative to the OAS.
Maestro Sergio Buslje conducts the Panamerican Symphony Orchestra at the celebration of Argentine democracy.
Tango dancers Carolina Jaurena and Didier Bravo brought some heat to a cold December night.
Famous in Argentina for her Tango songs, Latin Grammy nominee María Volonté performed for guests at the OAS.
After the speeches and Tango, guests were treated to wines from Argentina.
The Christmas tree in the lobby of the OAS building on 17th Street Northwest.
