Yoga

Women’s-Only Bike Ride

City Bikes, October 6

Head to City Bikes in Adams Morgan with a road bike, light, and water for a two-hour ride around Rock Creek Park. This intermediate ride is the perfect night escape, and a chance to team up with the District’s female cyclists. Register online. Free; 6:30 PM.

North Face Mountain Training Athletics

Join two North Face trainers for workouts aimed at strengthening you for your outdoor goals. Train to finish an endurance challenge, ski stronger, or hit the summit. Register online for the October 6 or October 8 sessions. Free; 6:30 PM.

Jillian Michael’s Bodyshred

Chelsea Collective, October 7

Accelerate your metabolism with this interval/circuit training. You’ll need water and a towel, as this 30-minute workout will use cardio, abs, and strength training. Register online. Free; 7 PM.

Bike Ride

Meet up at City Bikes in Adams Morgan for a 15-mile ride around Rock Creek, Van Ness, and Cleveland Park. Bring water and a light for this one-hour ride that over 1000 feet of elevation. Register online. Free; 6:30 PM.

Rock Climbing

Earth Treks Climbing Center, October 9

Get a full-body workout scaling walls for an afternoon. Admission includes a day pass, climbing equipment, and belaying. Register online. $20; 4 PM.

Marine Corps. Marathon Training Run

City Sports Farragut North, October 10

Join City Sports and the DC Capital Striders for a 12-mile run before the big race this month. Water stops and storage are provided—just bring your own running shoes. Register online. Free; 8 AM.

Introductory Bike Ride

The Bike Rack, October 10

Join the pros at The Bike Rack for an introduction to road cycling. This two-hour, 25-mile ride is slower-paced for anyone wanting to get their feet wet—just bring your bike, a helmet, and water. Register online. Free; 10 AM.

Army Ten-Miler

October 11

Get your sweat on in one of the District’s biggest races! If you’re not partaking this year, cheer on local athletes or volunteer. More information online. 8 AM.
