The Columbia Room’s Outdoor Bar Opens Today

Drinkers at the Columbia Room will have yet another space to sip as of tonight, when the cocktail bar’s outdoor punch garden opens for the season. Like the two other spaces in Derek Brown’s ambitious Shaw venture—the spirits library and tasting room—a separate, themed menu will be served on the patio.

A variety of ten punches and bottled cocktails will be available on the cozy covered deck, equipped with heat lamps for when the temperature dips at night. Springtime drinks run bright and herbaceous, like a tequila-based punch with “supercharged” OJ and jalapeño, and the “R&RBT,” made with rum and rhubarb-basil tonic.

The punch garden opens at 5, with last call at 11:30 pm on weekdays, and 1 am on Friday and Saturday nights.
