Party at the Passenger: If you missed out on the weekend fun, you can join in on the Passenger’s Monday night bash. The bar hasn’t officially opened yet, so consider this a practice round/preview. A $40 cash payment at the door gets unlimited beer, shots, food, and live band karaoke. Partners include rye poured by Filibuster, beer from Schlitz Brewing Company, and Hari Karaoke. The party is Monday from 8 pm to midnight.

Lambrusco Week: The third Lambrusco Week at the Partisan starts Monday with a tasting party from 5:30 to 7 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to sample ten different styles of the Italian red wine with charcuterie pairings. The evening is inspired by wine director Brent Kroll and attendees will have the chance to hear Kroll explain each of the selected Lambruscos. Tickets are $42 and can be purchased here

RAMW Restaurant Week: It’s baaack. The Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington launches its annual Restaurant Week promotion on Monday, with over 200 participants serving $22 lunches and $35 dinners in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. We love checking out new places, but don’t forget DC’s classics.

Alexandria Restaurant Week: More dining deals! Alexandria launches their Restaurant Week on Friday, with a slightly different format than the one above: $35 three-course dinners, or a $35 dinner for two. Over 25 restaurants will also offer lunch deals from $10 to $20 per person.

Fundraiser for Silver Spring fire: All Set Restaurant and Bar is raising money to support those displaced by the Long Branch apartment fire and explosion in Silver Spring last Wednesday. All of the sales from the Monday event, plus an additional $5,000 from The Meltzer Group, will go to the Montgomery Housing Partnership to assist the families affected by the fire.

Free ShackBurgers: Shake Shack is nearing 100 locations in the US, and celebrates by giving away burgers to the first 100 guests on Tuesday at all of its domestic locations. Each of the six Shake Shack locations throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia, (excluding Nationals Park) will offer free ShackBurgers, or another sandwich of equal or lesser value, to diners beginning at 10:30 a.m. The 100th Shake Shake location will open next week in Boston.

Tacos & Taps: Chef Andrew Markert of Beuchert’s Saloon teams up with chef Christian Irabien from nonprofit La Cocina VA to throw a summer taco party at the Capitol Hill restaurant. Guests can try five tacos like crispy masa with black beans, avocado, and pickled onions, or shrimp tacos–all paired with draft beers. Tickets are $5 a piece and available at the door on a first-come basis. There will be water balloons, water guns, and flip cup so wear your swimsuit! The party is Sunday from 4 to 9 pm.

Farmer’s market debut: On Sunday, the Montgomery County Agricultural and Arts Market will open for the first time from 12 to 3 pm. The historic Maple Springs Barn will host local farmers and artists, and patrons can shop for fresh produce, vegan and vegetarian items, and kosher specialties.  The market will run year round.
