Sushi burrito spot Buredo has some major expansion plans over the coming year. It will open it’s fourth location at 10241 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda’s Wildwood Center next spring. At least three additional shops at yet-to-be-finalized locations are also in the works throughout the Washington area.

Owners Mike Haddad and Travis Elton already have restaurants near Franklin Park and Dupont Circle with a third coming to H Street Northeast in late winter or early spring. Buredo has drawn lines for its oversized, nori-wrapped rolls stuffed with fusion fillings like pork shoulder and spicy beets.

All the locations going forward will have a slightly different design than the two originals, but you’ll have to stay tuned to see what they look like. “A lot of these fast-casual concepts are starting to use a lot of the same materials,” Haddad says. “We wanted to set ourselves apart a little bit.”
