Here’s a Car Driving on a Bike Path in Alexandria

Alexandria-based bike commuter Trey Harris shot this video of a car entering the Four Mile Run Park Trail in Alexandria from Jefferson Davis Highway, across from Potomac Yard.

The car continues down the path for about 1,000 feet before making a stately exit onto Commonwealth Avenue. Congratulations to the driver for saving a bunch of time while simultaneously disrupting conventional wisdom with regard to bike paths–these things can apparently accommodate much more traffic than they’re used for now!
