One of DC’s popular road races (a.k.a. one of the hardest to get into), the Cherry Blossom Ten Miler’s lottery is easy to miss. So here’s your reminder that the lottery to enter the race opens today, and you’ve only got 12 days to throw your name in the hat.

To register, head to the Cherry Blossom race website and complete the registration either as an individual or as a group of ten. Once you’ve entered the lottery, you’ll have to wait until December 15 at 10 AM to find out if you’ve made it in, at which time you should receive an email and be able to access a list on the race website to see if you’re cleared to run. Only once you’ve been selected to run will you be charged the $43 entry fee for the ten mile run.

The lottery is open now through December 12 at 11:59 PM. The race, which last year started and finished by the Washington Monument, is slated to take place on April 2, 2017 at 7:30 AM. If the idea of training is already stressing you out, don’t sweat it: here’s our guide to training for the ten miler in just a month.
