A playful mix of naughty and nice united on Saturday evening at the historic Howard Theatre, during the The Capital Club‘s annual ‘Santa Soiree’ benefit.

Now in its 25th year, the ‘elvish black tie’ gala has become a holiday social mainstay among the Georgetown set and tickets almost always sell-out. 2016 was no different in that respect, as hundreds of revelers flocked to Shaw over the weekend for the late night event.

Once there, they were greeted by a raucous dance floor and plenty of libations courtesy of lead sponsor Tito’s Vodka.

Santa, elves, and Washingtonians alike then proceeded to dance the night away to the live musical stylings of The Answer Band and DJ Lane, before embarking to the official after party at nearby U Street hotspot Hawthorne.

Proceeds from Saturday’s fundraiser are earmarked for a variety of both local and national charities and causes, including the Trey Lefler Memorial Scholarship Fund, which benefits students at Sewanee: The University of the South.

Founded in 1980, The Capital Club is a registered 501(c) nonprofit organization. Membership is by invitation only and limited to 100 members each year.
