The hallmark events at this year’s Pride celebration—the Pride Parade on June 10 and the Pride Festival on June 11—are expected to draw over a hundred thousand revelers, many decked from head to toe in rainbow colors. Finding a bathroom at outdoor events of this scale is difficult to begin with, meaning locating gender-neutral restrooms can be even more of a challenge. But DC law states that no single-stalled restroom can be gendered, and the city has even started a campaign to hold businesses accountable, asking citizens to report any noncompliance to the hashtag #safebathroomsDC.
Here’s a map of both gender-neutral and accessible restrooms near the parade and festival so everyone can feel safe and comfortable while celebrating and embracing diversity in our nation’s capital.
