This September, celebrate your freedom to read, create and express with DC Public Library. Don’t miss the #UncensoredDC banned book scavenger hunt happening city-wide throughout the entire month. Tune into WAMU 88.5 Morning Edition for daily location clues and follow @dcpl_literati on Twitter and Instagram to see where banned books are hiding in your neighborhood.
If you are 21+ years of age and like cocktails with your banned books, RSVP TODAY to Uncensored Underground: The Cocktail Party on Saturday, 9/30, 7 PM at Dupont Underground. The evening will feature banned book-inspired cocktails, live music by Cheick Hamala Diabte and JoGo Project, artwork by Robin Bell, a pop-up market with local retailers and so much more. Proceeds from ticket sales will support DC Public Library.
Want free tickets to the party? Participate in the #UncensoredDC banned book scavenger hunt and you just might find a golden ticket book, granting a pair of free tickets to Uncensored Underground.
