Today at 11: Chat With Food Critic Ann Limpert

Leave a question for Ann, and she'll get to as many as possible this morning.

Join us today at 11 AM to chat with Ann Limpert. Have questions about the impending vote on Initiative 77 and the tipped minimum wage? Curious about our burgeoning barbecue scene? Or just need a dinner recommendation for this weekend? Leave a question below, and Ann will get to as many as possible this morning.

Ann: Good morning, chatters! Hope you’ve all had great weeks. Mine has been filled with a spectrum of good eats, including the pound-heavy sandwiches at Stachowski Market (delicious, especially the meatball sub, but I will buy anyone who finishes the whole thing a t-shirt); sweetly sauced, insanely crispy pork belly at the new Rockville storefront Kuya Ja’s Lechon Belly; and a Shanghai-style duck crepe (a cheap way to satisfy a peking duck craving) at Boba and Bites in the Mosaic District, which also does a nice bubble tea.

It’s been a big week for restaurant openings: Sushi Nakazawa finally debuted in the Trump Hotel (you can read all about its owner, Alessandro “most hated restaurateur in America” Borgognone here), while Milk Bar readies to open its biggest DC location in Logan Circle this weekend.

And finally, you can still score tickets to Thursday’s awesome Best of Washington party, which brings together over 60 top Washington restaurants under one roof (a sampling: Rasika, Whaley’s, Tiger Fork, Unconventional Diner, Maydan…). It’s all you can eat, all you can drink, over the top, and always loads of fun. Even better: Use the following discount code—BOWBrunchers—to get 20 percent off your ticket.

What’s on your mind these days? Onto your questions, which you can ask in the form below (the chat transcript shows up under that).
