Over the course of her life, Queen Elizabeth II made a number of visits to the DC area, starting as a princess in 1951.

Here, we take a look at some photos from the Queen’s time in DC, such as visiting for the United States Bicentennial in 1976 and the 400-year anniversary of the Jamestown Settlement in 2007, attending college football games in Maryland, and planting trees on the White House Lawn.
