Before Saying “I Do,” Say Yes to a Ring from Frank Darling

Add a little sparkle and a lot of love to the holiday season

Before Saying “I Do,” Say Yes to a Ring from Frank Darling
Tweet Share

Has your significant other dropped subtle—or not so subtle—hints that it’s time for those hypothetical conversations about marriage to result in a very real engagement?

If so, you may want to start looking for a ring. Like, yesterday.

You know you want a diamond, but which one?

Ring shopping can be a daunting task, especially if you can’t differentiate between an emerald and princess cut or a solitaire and three-stone setting.

Before panic sets in, book a consultation with Frank Darling. (Remember to open an incognito browser if this is a surprise!)

From diamond shape to ring style to gold tone, Frank Darling’s experienced designers know the questions to ask to help you create the perfect piece.

“We want our clients to feel good about the ring they are purchasing—whether that means one appointment with us or five,” said Taylor Ricketts, bespoke design lead and D.C. showroom manager at Frank Darling. “We think about how they are going to wear the ring, what their lifestyle is like, and how they would describe their personal style.”

Custom, ethical jewelry at every price point

Frank Darling has curated the jewelry design process to be fun, engaging, and attainable at every budget. The online store offers at-home try-on and a ring quiz. For a truly custom experience, visit Frank Darling’s D.C. showroom.

“We personalize each appointment to make everyone’s time with us special and unique,” said Ricketts. “We focus on a design-led, high-touch, bespoke experience of luxury, ethically sourced jewelry with the transparency and price point of an online shopping experience.”

The showroom’s cozy seating and radiant natural light is a refined yet unintimidating environment to welcome those taking on the process solo or a couple designing the ring together. Sometimes the moment even requires designers to act as a super-secret double agent.

“Not too long ago, I worked with a same-sex couple and helped secretly design both women’s rings,” gushed Ricketts. “They had no idea that the other one was working with Frank Darling. I got to know them as a couple and share this special experience with them both. The rings came out beautifully, and I got to see their proposal pictures which felt like a full-circle moment.”

Holiday gift guide

If reading about engagement rings was enough to dampen your palms and trigger heart palpitations, Frank Darling’s holiday gift guide might be more your speed this December. The gift guide makes it easy to shop for the romantic, the minimalist, the maximalist, or the vintage lover in your life.

“We have a lot of pieces that would be perfect for holiday gifting, such as diamond studs, pendants, and tennis bracelets. We can also make custom pieces and source anything from champagne diamonds to padparadscha sapphires, to pigeon blood rubies. The possibilities are truly endless,” said Ricketts.

If there’s a momentary flicker of confusion when your beloved opens their gift, don’t despair. That look means when the jewelry box does have a Frank Darling ring inside, the answer will be an unequivocal, “Yes!”

Ring production takes 3–5 weeks, depending on customization. To schedule your in-person or virtual consultation with Frank Darling’s D.C. showroom, book online or call 646.859.0718.
