Dozens open to the public during the annual Passport DC on May 2, offering cooking demos, tours, and music and dance performances. Other opportunities for getting inside those gates: the mostly classical concerts of the Embassy Series and dance parties, winetastings, and other fun organized by the International Club of DC.
