Great Takeout: Cannon’s Fishmarket

Skittish about introducing a lobster to its maker? Swing by this bare-bones Georgetown fish market, which will clean and steam the crustaceans for you at no charge. Just keep in mind that, at $15.90 to $17.90 a pound, they’re more expensive than most. Delivered from New England or Canada, they’re available in up to three-pound sizes. If you’re looking for bigger guys, call a few days ahead to order them.

There are the makings of a high-quality shrimp cocktail, too, plus sauté-at-home five-ounce crab cakes ($8.90) made with Maryland lump.
