You’re a Diva! No, You Are!

Todd Purdum's article launched a flame war among Republicans.

While it might have been Todd Purdum’s 10,000-word Vanity Fair article on Sarah Palin that got much of the chattering class talking—and perhaps even accelerated her resignation as Alaska governor—Politico’s Jonathan Martin found himself caught in a family feud when he asked prominent Republicans to respond to Purdum’s article.

In what Martin says was like reporting from the middle of the field during Pickett’s charge at Gettysburg, his 2,100-word article was a confusing series of charges and counter-charges among big-name GOPers who evidently don’t like one another anymore.

For simplicity’s sake, we’ve boiled Martin’s article down to a chart.
