What to do for fun this week in Washington.

Monday: $1 Movie Night
The Disaster flick 2012 and the oddball military comedy The Men Who Stare at Goats will be shown tonight as part of Arlington Cinema ’N’ Drafthouse’s weekly $1 Movie Night series. 2012 starts at 6:50 and Goats at 9:50.

Tuesday: Karaoke Master
The H Street Karaoke Battle, organized by Sticky Rice, Rock & Roll Hotel, and a number of other bars along the H Street, Northeast, strip, concludes tonight at Rock & Roll Hotel. Finalists will be judged by last year’s winning team as well as Scott Rattler, member of the local metal band Rattler. 9 PM.

Wednesday: Help for Haiti
The downtown DC bar Sign of the Whale hosts a fundraising happy hour to benefit survivors of the Haiti earthquake. Drink specials will include $3 beers and $4 rail drinks as well as 25-cent chicken wings. There’s a $10 suggested donation at the door, with all proceeds going to Partners in Health. Thursday: Romeo and Juliet
Starting tonight through Sunday, the American Ballet Theatre will perform choreographer Kenneth MacMillan’s beloved version of Romeo and Juliet at the Kennedy Center’s Opera House. Tickets ($29 to $99) can be purchased here. 7:30.
