Cocktails galore, a bad mommie, and a happy hour at the Big Hunt.

Monday: Cocktail Dinner
PS 7’s hosts a five-course dinner in honor of World Cocktail Week, with drinks crafted by local mixologists such as Adam Bernbach, Derek Brown, Gina Chersevani, and Dan Searing. A reception kicks off the event at 6, followed by dinner at 7. Tickets are $125 and include tax and gratuity. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Museum of the American Cocktail. Tuesday: Pawtinis
This event has been rescheduled for Thursday. Fashion for Paws launches Pawtini, a pet-friendly happy hour benefitting the Washington Humane Society, at the W Hotel’s J&G Steakhouse patio. Starting at 6, guests are encouraged to bring their four-legged companions for drink and food specials. Twenty percent of the event’s proceeds goes to Fashion for Paws.

Wednesday: Bad Mother
Ayelet Waldman, author of Bad Mother: A Chronicle of Maternal Crimes, Minor Calamities, and Occasional Moments of Grace, reads from and discusses her book at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door, or free with the purchase of the book ($15). 7 PM.

Thursday: Guru Night
The Washington Post’s Going Out Gurus are holding their monthly happy hour at Dupont Circle’s Big Hunt. In addition to drink and food specials, the Gurus will have a Skee-Ball competition as well as a raffle with prizes such as restaurant discounts and concert tickets. 6 PM.
