ARTventures in the Atlas District, delicious paella, free theater, and more!

Monday: Paella Festival
All three locations of José Andrés’s tapas bar, Jaleo, are offering a special menu featuring many takes on the classic Spanish dish, designed by visiting chef María José San Román. The menu is available all day starting at 11:30. The festival runs through June 20.

Tuesday: Prop 8
Filmmaker Steven Greenstreet’s documentary 8: The Mormon Proposition, which takes a look at the Mormon Church’s campaign to pass Proposition 8 in California, screens at E Street Cinema at 7:30. The show is free, but you must RSVP at 8TMPDC@gmail.com to attend. Greenstreet will be at the screening.

Wednesday: Dance Box
Dance Box Theater, which combines elements of dance and theater to address issues related to art and social justice, performs at the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage at 6. Free.

Thursday: ARTventures on H Street
Eleven art galleries along the H Street corridor open their doors from 5 to 7:30 for a special neighborhood art walk. Attendees will be given an ARTventures “passport” to be stamped at each stop of the walk. Every stamp counts as a discount at nearby restaurants, such as Sticky Rice, H Street Country Club, and the Argonaut. For more details about the walk, click here.
