Monday, July 2

MAGIC: See “DC’s best magician,”
Josh Norris, do his thing at Mad Hatter. Kids eat free, and bottles of wine are half-price, which will probably help those card tricks
seem even more amazing. Free. 7 PM.

Tuesday, July 3

BEER: Do good while you drink with the
Midtown Liberty Bar Tour, benefiting Manna
Food Center. Hit 15 bars for drink specials like $2 Coors Lights, and
get free red, white, and blue beads
you’ll no doubt lose before the actual Fourth of July rolls
around. Tickets ($9) are available online. 5 PM to midnight at
Rumors.

Wednesday, July 4

INDEPENDENCE DAY: Celebrate America’s independence from British rule the way our founding fathers intended—by filling a watermelon with vodka
and eating it. Find the recipe—plus grilling tips, events, and lots more—in our
Fourth of July guide
.

Thursday, July 5

POOL PARTY: Might as well keep the weekend going at this point. The
DoubleTree Bethesda is hosting a tropical-themed party at its rooftop pool, featuring frozen daiquiris, a deejay, various grilled foods, and—duh—an
awesome pool. Free. 5 PM.
