Real Wedding: Tricia and Amelia

Guests rang in the new year at this classy and edgy DC wedding.

How they got engaged: On a white Christmas morning at Tricia’s parents’ house

Decor: Classy and edgy, with a nod to the New Year countdown—table numbers were displayed on small clocks set to different times

Wedding flowers: White calla lilies, white roses, white gardenias, and crimson roses

Wedding cake: First tier was red velvet with raspberry filling and dark chocolate ganache; top tiers were white and chocolate cake with cinnamon filling

Favorite detail: In lieu of a guest book, attendees signed wine corks and tossed them in an oversized wine glass engraved with “Put a cork in it!”

Most memorable moment: Midnight, when everyone rang in 2012 with hats and noisemakers

First dance: “Gotta Have You” by the Weepies
