Things to Do

Ai Weiwei Goes Gangnam Style

The Chinese dissident artist, whose work is currently on display in a retrospective at the Hirshhorn, jumps on the bandwagon.

Before today, it’s fair to say that the universe had enough
“Gangnam Style” parody
videos, beginning with Roy
Hibbert

and Filipino
inmates

and ending with tailcoat-clad boarding school boys at Eton
College
.

But for
Ai Weiwei, we’ll make an exception. The Chinese dissident artist, whose work is currently on
display in his first major American retrospective at the Hirshhorn, just released
his own parody, and it’s the best ever (in our humble opinion, at least).

Weiwei: According to What?” in
