Monday: I Voted at the Movies
How do movies shape our views of politics and politicians? Why do so many actors run for office—and should they? Which films have done a good job representing the political process? These questions and more will be addressed at a special event tonight at the Avalon Theatre. NPR's Susan Stamberg, Linda Wertheimer, and NPR film critic Bob Mondello will host a discussion about politics and movies. Free, but donations are encouraged. RSVP to campaign@theavalon.org. 8 PM.
Tuesday: A Designer and His House
Heads up for fashionistas and film buffs: Ralph Rucci: A Designer and His House screens tonight at the Corcoran. The film is an insider's look at the evolution of Rucci's couture lines. Complimentary Neiman Marcus gift bags will be handed out afterwards. $15, 7 PM. Get tickets here.

So prep that Phil Collins tune you’ve been dying to belt out, get ready to throw on a blue sparkly wig and a pink tutu, and rock out.
